Quick Fill Station, Cherokee Nation, Tahlequah, Oklahoma
For the Cherokee Tribe of Oklahoma, SAE completed construction plans and specifications for a new public CNG fueling facility a the Cherokee Tribe Outpost convenience store along Highway 62 south of Tahlequah, OK. This project was completed as a part of a design build team with Red Stone Construction Services of Tulsa and Tulsa Gas Technologies. This CNG station consists of a 125hp drive 4-stage Arrow Engine Compressor with 3 storage spheres, regenerative inlet dryer, and a dual hose dispenser with card reader installed in the existing diesel fuel island of the “C” Store. This station opened to the public in January 2012 at a total cost of $900,000 including a ARRA grant obtained by the tribe.
